Macarthur Wild Deer Control Program
Have you seen wild deer around?
Share your deer stories, sightings and experiences by completing a short survey here.
The information from the survey will be used to create a clear picture on where the deer are and help to plan the control activities.
The program is being coordinated by Local Land Services in partnership with Wollondilly and Camden Councils.
Wild deer numbers have increased by 60% over the last 6 years within the Macarthur region.
Wild deer have been reported to have a serious impacts on landholders and the broader community causing vehicle collisions, damage to infrastructure, destroying native bushland, crops and gardens and disturbing livestock.
The wild deer control program will seek to work with landholders to: monitor deer using motion activated cameras, inspect properties impacted by deer and control deer numbers through the use of ‘clover traps’ and professional contractors. For more information contact 1300 795 299.
