Wollondilly Shire Council is seeking NSW Government support to recategorise Remembrance Driveway, Menangle Road and Silverdale/Burragorang Roads to State management. Road categorisation helps ensure the right authority is responsible for maintenance, repairs and upgrades, and that funding reflects how heavily a road is used. It also helps councils manage road assets and clarify responsibilities between local and State government, so major routes can attract the appropriate level of State funding and support.
