The Project

A new skate facility in Appin opened to the public 18 April 2020, forming part of an overall landscape masterplan for the future redevelopment of Appin Park. This precinct is set to revitalise recreation within Appin with a play space, events and recreation areas, ninja warrior course, formalised parking areas, toilet facilities and overall park infrastructure.

The site is bordered by Appin Road which is a busy North South arterial. To the west is Appin Public School, an important consideration for safe youth access to the facility. To the East lies existing residential, existing children’s playground equipment and exercise equipment. To the south is the existing Wonson Oval sportsfield and recently constructed public toilets.
