Birrahlee Park Playground upgrade was officially opened on 2 March by Mayor Matt Gould and Nathaniel Smith, State Member for Wollondilly. Deputy Mayor Matt Deeth and Councillors Suzy Brandstater and Paul Rogers were also in attendance.
The Birrahlee Park playground upgrade is nearly complete with the project expected to by finished by the end of February 2023.
A range of upgrades are occurring which include a new exercise station, park furniture, refurbished multi-use court, new fencing, BBQ and new playground equipment. Council have listened to the community's request for improvements to the park and have incorporated new additions based on your feedback.
The Birrahlee Park upgrade is funded under the NSW Public Spaces Legacy Program.
This program is key to the NSW Government’s broader efforts to provide high-quality public open spaces across the state.
