Council is now progressing to the second phase of the Silverdale Road Safety Improvements project. Having secured funding from the Federal Government, under its Western Sydney Infrastructure Program - Local Roads Package Round 4, Council will be delivering further road pavement renewal, stormwater infrastructure and footpath to the township of Silverdale.
Phase one of the project saw the delivery of stormwater infrastructure and pavement renewal between Warradale Rd and north of Silverdale Shopping Centre while experiencing the difficulties of the wettest year in recorded history, covid lockdowns and resource disruption, and significant utility clash resolution. With these difficulties behind the project and new round of funding available, phase two will continue with pavement renewal through to Farnsworth Avenue, western road shoulder formalisation and footpath network connections.
