about the project
Council is upgrading The Oaks Community Hall to bring the facility up to current standards. The refurbishment will create a more modern and usable space for local residents to enjoy recreational, community and cultural activities.
Works will focus on renewing key building elements and improving comfort, accessibility and presentation for the wider community. Works include roof repairs and replacements where required, upgrades to the kitchen and toilet facilities, electrical rewiring as needed and improved lighting throughout, external improvements such as cladding repairs and repainting, structural repairs where required to meet current standards, the safe removal of hazardous materials by licensed specialists, and making safe the small hall adjacent to the main building.
This upgrade is funded through the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grant, and Council thanks the NSW Government for its support.
