ABOUT The Project
Council is upgrading Chandos Street, Yanderra to improve safety, connectivity and stormwater management.
A key part of the project is a new sealed shared pathway for pedestrians and cyclists. This will replace the existing gravel track and provide a safer, more accessible route through the village.
The project also addresses long-standing stormwater and drainage issues in wet weather. New kerb and gutter, pits, pipes and culverts will connect into the existing stormwater network to help manage runoff, reduce flooding impacts and improve resilience over time. Street lighting upgrades and improved maintenance standards will also support a safer and more welcoming streetscape.
