Wollondilly Shire Council is committed to good environmental management and as such is implementing The ‘Wollondilly Adopt a Road’ Program.

The appearance and cleanliness of a roadside is often the first observation many tourists and locals make when entering a Shire such as Wollondilly. Littering on roadsides is not only illegal but it also has a negative impact on the environment, infrastructure, health and image of an area and its community.

Note: The application to Adopt a Road is an expression of interest only. Upon receipt of all such expressions of interest, suitable roadside adopters will be chosen and allocated a roadside corridor in need of care and attention. Should the nominated roadsides not be suitable, alternative sites may be considered. Successful applications to Adopt a Road will be required to enter into a 3 year agreement with a minimum length of 2.5 kilometres with Wollondilly Shire Council and provide a certificate of currency of public liability insurance.
