  Based on input from the community, Wollondilly Council has developed a master plan for the Picton Botanic Gardens Precinct which is now available for comment on the Your Say Wollondilly website.

• Council supports economic recovery with community events across the Shire

  Wollondilly Council will host a series of community events across the Shire in early 2021 to encourage residents to spend locally, boost economic activity and have some fun in towns and villages hit by bushfires and the pandemic over the past year.

  Wollondilly’s Australia Day Awards winners for 2020 were announced at a ceremony in the Picton Botanical Gardens this morning which was live streamed to the whole community.

• Bushfire Community Grants Program open to Wollondilly residents

  Funding of up to $2000 is now available to 32 bushfire impacted residents in the Wollondilly Shire whose properties were devastated by the Green Wattle Creek bushfires of 2019/20.

• Wollondilly playground upgrades to become a reality through latest round of bushfire funding

  Wollondilly Council has welcomed the commitment of $920,120 in bushfire recovery funding to construct shade shelters at seven facilities across the Shire and to upgrade the playground at Picton Botanic Gardens as an inclusive play space.

  Wollondilly Council’s Christmas in the Gardens is back for a third time in 2021; featuring the popular twilight markets, an outdoor movie, a visit from Santa and a range of other family activities.
