The Wollondilly Shire is one of the fastest growing local government areas in New South Wales, with the population set to increase from approximately 57,000 in 2023 to 100,000 by 2041.Wollondilly Shire is located on the south western outskirts of Sydney at the foothills of the Southern Highlands and is surrounded by spectacular natural beauty and rural pastures. It's 2,560 square kilometres stretch from Yanderra in the South, Appin and Menangle in the East, Warragamba in the North, and the Nattai wilderness, Yerranderie and Burragorang Valley to the West.
Wollondilly Shire Council acknowledges the Dharawal and Gundungurra peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land, honouring their enduring cultural and spiritual connection to Country and recognising their ongoing contribution to the Shire.
