Council offers a FREE Duty Planner service to help you understand planning controls and the development assessment process. The service runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–2:50pm and provides preliminary advice on planning enquiries relating to properties.
Due to high demand, we cannot provide detailed assessments or review full proposals. If you need in-depth advice, you may need to engage a planning consultant or legal practitioner.
Appointments are 15 minutes and can be booked via our online booking system. Please read through the options below to determine how we can best assist your enquiry.

Many types of development do not need Council approval. To find out if your development is Exempt Development the information is on the NSW Planning Portal.

If you need to update your booking details including change of appointment date or to cancel, please contact Council on 02 4677 1100 at least 12 hours before your appointment if possible to enable rebooking.
