Council offers free wood chipping services in Bargo, Wilton and Warragamba as a handy way for residents to manage garden waste more easily. If you have branches, prunings, large shrubs or other garden cuttings that are too big for your green bin, this service can help.

Wood Chipping Sevice staff may refuse any material that cannot be accepted for processing. If this happens, it will be up to the individuals to take the material away and dispose of it properly at their own cost.

Unfortunately chipped material cannot be returned to residents. This is due to safety reasons and to prevent the spread of noxious weeds such as African Olive and Privet that are accepted for mulching in this service.
All chipped material will be composted to Australian standards and processed into compost and landscaping material.
Yes! someone can attend on your behalf, but this must be arranged when you make the booking. As part of the booking process, you will need to provide the individuals:
When they arrive, they must show valid identification at entry. Accepted forms of ID include a NSW Driver Licence, Service NSW Photo Card, or a current rates or utility notice.
