Community engagement is a broad term used to describe how we communicate with the community to understand their views, and work together to shape the decisions Council makes about projects, plans, policies and programs.
Community engagement helps us to better understand varied perspectives and can enable a conversation that helps build consensus. This means Council is better positioned to make decisions that are influenced by community aspirations, needs, knowledge, and lived experience.
