Team Leader/Director
It has been a delight to work in the early childhood profession for over 16 years. Graduating with a Diploma of Children Services in 2005 and at present working towards my Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualifications. I have had the opportunity to work in an array of children’s services; Long Day Care, Out of School Hours Care and Family Day Care.
In my role of Team Leader of Children Services, Director at Wollondilly Preschool and Nominated Supervisor of Family Day Care, I am proud of the professional and caring way in which all staff deliver high quality education and care for families in the Wollondilly Shire community. Demonstrating commitment, knowledge and passion to the Children Service sector, each and every day.
I believe strongly in the benefits of play-based learning and this is reflected in the philosophies of our Preschool and Family Day Care Services. Linking the strong foundation of the Early Years Learning Framework and the Education and Care National Regulations. Such pedagogy has an impact on our decision making; the ethics of respect for individuals, inclusion of all children, building of identity through trusting relationships and partnership with families and the wider community. Therefore, supporting all our Children Services here at Wollondilly Council. While providing the children in our care the skills to flourish throughout their life.
Early Childhood Teacher
I have a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and I have been working with children in the local area for over 25 years. Thanks to a scholarship from the NSW government, I’m also studying my Master of Special and Inclusive Education (Early Childhood).
I’m a huge advocate for inclusion and believe that every child is entitled to access and participate in quality Early Years program. I see children as active agents in their own lives and learning. I think that learning should be a holistic process, one that takes into consideration the whole child and takes place within well thought out and aesthetic surroundings. I hope to light the fire and see your children become confident, happy, independent and involved learners that are ready to take kindergarten in their stride.
When not at preschool I enjoy running and hiking in the beautiful Wollondilly and spending time with my friends and family.
Diploma Educator
Hi, I’m Bec and I am one of the educators at the new Wollondilly Preschool. I come with 13 years’ experience in early and middle childhood and hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Within my work I value the importance of building and maintaining relationships with children and families. I also believe in the importance of learning through play where educators use reflective practices to extend on children’s interests to guide their learning.
Outside of work I enjoy cooking (and eating), staying active and spending time with friends, family and loved ones, including my beloved fur babies. I enjoy learning new things and so I am looking forward to this new adventure.
Hello lovely to meet you! My name is Livia, I am working at the Wollondilly Preschool. I have lived in the Wollondilly community for most of my life where I attended local schools such as Bargo Public and Picton High, where I recently graduated year 12 with completing my HSC. I also attended and completed a two-year Tvet course in early childhood studies at Campbelltown Tafe. Through my love and passion for Early Childhood Education, I have gained three years of amazing experiences!
The values I hold as an Early Childhood Educator are to support all aspects of the first key years of a child’s life. This includes supporting their interests, guiding the children and giving them encouragement throughout their learning. My aim is to build memorable and strong relationships with the children creating a sense of security, supporting their physical and emotional well-being, having compassion and patience with each child, meeting their needs in every aspect as well as creating new experiences and sharing new ideas throughout their development. As an educator I love interacting with each and every child. I view every child as an individual with special abilities and interests and I believe that every child’s social and cultural background should be acknowledged and respected.
Some of my hobbies include hanging with friends and family on the weekends, camping, enjoying the outdoors and snorkelling at the beach! I plan to further my knowledge in Early Childhood Education and Care and continue my studies to start my Diploma. My love for learning is forever growing!
I consider myself an admin guru with a knack for organization and efficiency. I also come with 3 years’ experience in early childhood and hold a Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care. I blend my passion for supporting children’s growth with my administrative expertise. I thrive on creating structured environments that foster learning and development. I value the importance of my relationships with children and families.
Outside of work I have a deep love for sports and enjoy staying active. Whether cheering on my favourite teams or engaging in outdoor activities, I embrace every opportunity to connect with friends and family. One of my favourite pastimes is heading away camping with my Husband & son, where we can explore nature, create lasting memories, and bond as a family. Life is all about balance, and I cherish every moment spent with my loved ones.
