  A year after the tragic car accident at Buxton, the entire Wollondilly community is feeling the enduring impact of losing five young locals.

• Razorback Landslip and Rockfall Repairs to begin soon

  Work will soon begin on repairing long-term damage to an embankment on Remembrance Driveway, Razorback, with a view to opening up the second southbound lane to traffic near the top of the hill.

• Bargo Waste Management Centre to close in June for remediation of the site

  The Bargo Waste Management Centre, which has reached landfill capacity under NSW EPA requirements, will be permanently closed after Sunday 8 June 2025 to allow for the necessary remediation of the site.

• Picton Sportsground Amenities extension now complete

  The impressive amenities extension at Picton Sportsground was officially opened on Saturday 5 April with a ribbon cutting and a tour of the new facility.
  
  Picton Rangers Football Club secured grant funding for the Wollondilly Shire Council facility upgrade totalling more than $3.2m. The amenities building is now three times the size of the original building.

  Feedback is invited on a planning proposal to amend the Wollondilly Local Environmental Plan 2011 to update heritage listings for the Shire and ensure Wollondilly’s heritage places are properly identified, documented and managed.
