  Wollondilly Council is now accepting applications for up to $500 from local organisations, community groups, churches and charities who would like to bring some festive cheer to the Shire this holiday season.

  Construction is officially underway on a new children’s services building, in a major milestone for the highly anticipated Wollondilly Cultural Precinct.
  
  The Morrison Government and Perrottet Government have each committed $814,784 to the new fit-for-purpose children’s services building, with Wollondilly Shire Council contributing a further $1,268,470.

• A link between Picton and Tahmoor to become a reality through shareway

  A major milestone was ticked off this week, with the construction tender awarded for the Picton to Tahmoor shareway meaning works on the project will be commencing next month.

  Wollondilly Council was awarded Best Regional/Rural Industry Contribution Award at the 2021 Parks & Leisure Australia Awards for its Telopea Park RFS Fire Truck Memorial Playground project.

• Water Play to become a reality for Wollondilly residents thanks to Resources for Regions funding

  Wollondilly Council’s Water Play Strategy will soon become a reality thanks to $840,000 of funding from Round 8 of the NSW Government Resources for Regions program.

  Broadcaster John Stanley has been announced as the 2022 Australia Day Ambassador for Wollondilly.

• Join Council for a Bushwalk at Thirlmere Lakes

  Residents are invited to join Wollondilly Shire Council for a guided bushwalk in the Thirlmere Lakes National Park as part of our Australia Day celebrations this year.

  Wollondilly’s official Australia Day celebrations will be held at the Picton Botanic Gardens from 8.30am-12pm on Wednesday 26 January 2022.
