Wollondilly Council has expanded its fleet of community outreach vehicles with the addition of a customised, state-of-the-art mobile recovery and resilience vehicle, to be officially launched this week.
Funded through the Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund, the Resilient Wollondilly Van will be used to provide immediate outreach support to impacted residents and businesses during and immediately after a disaster.

Aiming to retain a sense of the past for future generations, Wollondilly Shire Council is inviting feedback on proposed updates to the local heritage list in the Wollondilly Local Environment Plan 2011 (LEP).
Over the past three years, community members have helped contribute to a Shire Wide Heritage Study to update existing heritage items and identify potential places and items for heritage listing.
The local heritage list has not been significantly reviewed for 30 years.

Wollondilly Shire Council’s popular Beach Bus will hit the road again this summer, transporting Wollondilly residents to the beach and providing some relief from the heat.
The Beach Bus offers residents of all ages free travel to North Wollongong Beach from various stops across the Wollondilly Shire. The hop on service will operate on four Thursdays this summer: 4, 11, 18 and 25 January.
This is a low floor accessible bus, making the service accessible for all members of the community.

Wollondilly Shire Council will soon commence work on an upgrade to the Picton Botanic Gardens playspace and amenities building; part of Council’s massive investment into playgrounds and sportsgrounds right across the Shire from Warragamba to Yanderra.

The results of Wollondilly Shire Council’s annual Community Satisfaction Survey have revealed that residents love the Wollondilly lifestyle, with 95% rating their quality of life as good or excellent.
Satisfaction with the Council itself has increased significantly, with 81% of residents satisfied with Council’s performance over the last 12 months; a 9% increase from 2023.

Wollondilly residents can now walk or cycle between the towns of Picton and Tahmoor, with the completion of the new Picton to Tahmoor shareway.
