Amended information has been received seeking consent for the following:

Property:                         Lot: 62 DP: 1569, 42 CARLTON RD THIRLMERE
For the purposes of:      Mutli dwelling housing development (8 dwellings) and associated works.

Council is re-advertising as the design of the development has been amended in the following ways; and additional reports have been received:

  • Reduced bulk and scale of dwellings 1 and 2 by creating an ‘attic-style’ second storey.
  • Separation added between dwellings 5 and 6.
  • Increased rear setback for dwellings 3 and 4 to a compliant 3m.
  • Addition of a 500mm landscaped strip along the southern side of the driveway.

A statement of heritage impact and a traffic report with swept paths demonstrating that vehicles can enter and exit in a forward direction (both prepared by suitably qualified professionals) have been submitted to assist with assessment of the proposal. 

The Development Application is required to be advertised in accordance with Wollondilly Development Control Plan 2016 and also Schedule 1 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979.

Those who have previously made submissions are invited to review the amended proposal and make a NEW submission on any issues identified.

The application and plans relating to this proposed development can be viewed on Council’s website at or can be inspected at Council’s Administration Centre between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday (public holidays excluded) for a period of 15 days from 13 June 2019 to 28 June 2019.

Any submission you make is open to public scrutiny.  Council is required to release written comments or submissions under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPAA).  The Act imposes obligations on us to place submissions on Council’s website and submissions may be used in Council reports or court proceedings.  In this regard, your comments should be restricted to the proposed development.
