Request for Tenders - Kennedy Creek Appin Rehabilitation
Closes: 27/01/2021 11:00am
Tender No. 2020/43
Council invites tenders for the rehabilitation of Kennedy Creek, Appin.
The scope involves the removal of weeds, reshaping and creation of a defined central channel over a 200m length between Toggerai and Church Streets in Appin.
Landscaping consists of a suitable mown grass with some planting either side of the channel to improve maintainability and access for weeding of the channel.
A shared path runs down the western side that requires deviation of the Toggerai Street culvert alignment across to the centre of the reserve where a dedicated sediment pond will make maintenance easier.
Preliminary environmental investigations concluded with the identification of some grave remnants that are to be marked and not further disturbed.
The Wollondilly Shire Council Environmental Services team will provide plants for the revegetation.
One dwelling has flooded from the creek and a number of measures are included in the design to improve this aspect but it is not a flood mitigation project.
Council (the Principal) is seeking Tenders from appropriately experienced contractors to carry out this project. The resulting contract will be a Lump Sum Contract.
Tender documents may be obtained electronically via the tenderlink.com website.
