Have Your Say – Wollondilly Heritage Planning Proposal
Closes: Oct 16, 2023, 5:00 PM
Over the past few years community members have contributed to Council's two-part Shire-Wide Heritage Study. The aim of the studies was to update existing heritage items already listed in the Wollondilly Local Environment Plan 2011 (WLEP) and identify potential new heritage items and heritage conservation areas for listing. We want to ensure that what is historically important within our Shire is conserved for the enjoyment of future generations.
We are now proceeding with a Planning Proposal to implement changes to the WLEP, as recommended by the studies, and we would like to hear your comments.
What is changing:
- Addition of 55 new heritage items
- Addition of 3 new landscape conservation areas
- Addition of a new Appin Road Conservation Area
- Extension of the Picton Conservation Area
- Removal of 5 heritage items
- Amalgamation of 4 items with 2 related items
- Revision of 49 items to correct
