Mayor’s Charity Night to raise funds for Kids of Macarthur
Posted on: 18.08.2022
Wollondilly Mayor Matt Gould will host a carnival-themed charity night on 16 September at Camden Valley Inn to raise money for the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation.
Residents, businesses and friends will be able to enjoy a two-course meal and dessert bar, a beverage package, amazing live entertainment, as well as raffles, auctions and lots of prizes.
Launched in the year 2000, the goal of the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation is to buy the most up-to-date paediatric medical equipment available to improve health outcomes for local young people.
The Foundation helps to fund equipment for the paediatric units at Campbelltown and Camden hospitals, including the Children’s Ward, Paediatric Ambulatory Care, Paediatric Emergency, Special Care Nursery, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Maternity, Delivery and Post Natal Units, as well as supporting many children’s community health programs.
Mayor Matt Gould said, “The Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation is dedicated to improving health care provision for every child living in our region.”
“Having this equipment available locally means that parents are less likely to have to transport their sick children outside of the region to receive specialist health care.”
Funds raised at the Mayor’s Charity Night will go towards a $130,000 high quality obstetric ultrasound system which includes first trimester screening.
Tickets for the event are $150 each, or $1400 for a table of 10, available through Trybooking https://www.trybooking.com/CBTED
The event will run from 6pm until 11pm. For further information please contact Council’s Events Team on 4677 1100 or email events@wollondilly.nsw.gov.au
