Local Land Services and Young Farmers Connect invite you to join a soil pit workshop to learn more about the soils on your farm.
They are running free workshops on the two most extensive soil types in Greater Sydney: Hawkesbury sandstone-derived soils and Wiannamatta shale-derived soils.
The workshops will help you with:
- Reading the landscape and working with your soils to inform farm planning
- Soil description and soil sampling
- Soil fertility and management
The workshops will be led by highly experienced Soil Knowledge Network members, Greg Chapman, Roy Lawrie and Tony Voller.
Choose a workshop location to suit your soils (you only need to attend 1 workshop)
Find out which soil landscape your farm is in to select a workshop here.
