Unfortunately, the Summerfest events scheduled for Saturday 15 January at Willis Park, Oakdale and Bargo Sportsground on Friday 28 January 2022 have been POSTPONED due to the current impacts of COVID-19. We know this news is disappointing for those of you who were planning on attending the events.
We are looking forward to holding these events in the future when it is safe to do so, and we can ensure the health and safety of staff and those wishing to attend the events. We will continue to keep you updated once new dates have been decided.
Wollondilly Council will host a series of free community events to be held across the Shire over the next 12 months.
The Summer Fest program has been made possible thanks to funding from the NSW Government Resources for Regions program, which has provided funding opportunities to mining communities throughout the state.
Each of the family friendly events will feature amusement rides, an outdoor movie screening, food stalls, free face painting, ice cream and donuts and performances by local musicians.
The events aim to support mining impacted communities by enabling residents to reconnect, stimulating the local economy and providing a much needed recreational outlet following the impacts of the pandemic restrictions.
